Bridging Business Silos to Launch an Enterprise Intranet

The Opportunity

A $6B consumer products manufacturer sought to consolidate intranet sites across its businesses and corporate office.

I was brought on board to manage content and develop a launch plan. The catch? The new intranet wasn’t ready to go live. The C-Suite steering committee had differing priorities on how it should look, function, and launch.

The Solution

It took just one meeting to realize they needed a bridge builder (me) between Corporate Communications, HR, IT, and their respective peers at each division.

I worked with each team to build common ground and turn blockers into these major milestones:

  1. Establish Technical Guideposts.

  2. Define Business Requirements.

  3. Deliver Creative Direction.

  4. Capture Employee Feedback.

The Outcome

Launched the all-in-one enterprise intranet using one platform for more than 30,000 employees across 4 divisions and 12 corporate functions. The success led to an expanded digital role overseeing the brand’s corporate website redesign and launch.
